Overveiw

This film was a collaboration between Samurai Sports, UAL Rugby and JAW Works. The project consisted of a short film and photography show casing the UAL Rugby team as creative athletes. The film blends the different departments and off field skills of players together and uses them in the narrative to create a new kit.

What We Could See

After Studying at UAL we noticed that students across UAL seemed disconnected due to being in different campuses even though they were all part of UAL. We noticed that sports teams played a vital role in connected students from different colleges, so in the film we aimed to show this by connecting charaters from all collages to.

The Goals

The goals for this collaboration was to design a new kit for the UAL Rugby team and get JAW to sponser it. We also wanted for the sports teams across UAL to be more recognised and move away from the typical narrative that art students don't play sport.

Photography

Photography was part of this campaign, the kit was photographed in a studio on a seprate day. The main aim of the photography was to move away from standard stock image photography with flat lighting and white background. We wanted the shoot to feel moody with while also showing off the details and desgin of the kit
